DESIGN OPPORTUNITY—

Over the past 3 weeks, my team and I were tasked with redesigning the website for the Dr. Sun Yat Sen Classical Chinese Garden for our final project. 

The Dr. Sun Yat Sen Classical Chinese Garden is a non-government organization based in Vancouver’s Chinatown. The purpose of the organization is to maintain and enhance the bridge of understanding between the Chinese and Western cultures.

Based on our client interview and i created a storyboard, the concepts that reflect the mood from the scholar’s garden.

CHINESE BRUSH PAINTING

To show the feeling of scholar’s daily life, I added a Chinese brush painting under the contents to influenced user to feels the atmosphere.

Conclusion—

Our focus is to let the users know this is not a normal garden actually is a scholar’s home and bring up the traditional Chinese elements on the website.Our client was very pleased with the new design and how it brings to light the story of the garden.
